Immortal protector Amitayus, Boundless Life;
Namgyalma, the All-Victorious; and White Tara, the Wish-Fullfiling Wheel,
May the lotus feet of the glorious lama, Karma Lhagpur,
Remain steadfast for a hundred aeons.
Whilst most people have been busy hoarding wealth,
You’ve kept to the ascetic virtues of a renunciant.
Karma Lhagpur, may your lotus feet be ever firm,
Grant your blessings so that we can train to be like you.
Whilst others have been distracted by worldly activities alone,
You’ve become greatly learned in all the sutras and tantras.
Karma Lhagpur, may your lotus feet be ever firm,
Grant your blessings so that we can train to be like you.
Some scholars lack the essential points of practice.
You however, have practiced to perfection the meaning of what was taught.
Karma Lhagpur, may your lotus feet be ever firm,
Grant your blessings so that we can train to be like you.
Some scholars and practitioners take no delight in benefitting beings.
You however, have exceptional loving care for all.
Karma Lhagpur, may your lotus feet be ever firm,
Grant your blessings so that we can train to be like you.
Through praying one-pointedly in this way,
And by the blessings of the buddhas and bodhisattvas of all times and directions,
May the excellent aims of these aspirations be accomplished,
And bring about a perfect abundance of auspiciousness and wellbeing.
In accord with the request of Prostration Lama, whose being is filled with faith and devotion, renunciation and weariness, the one of Thrangu made this prayer.
Translated by Karma Kunga in the summer of 2011 at the Thrangu Sekhar Retreat Centre and revised in the summer of 2012.
