The Kindness of the Lama
For almost one year now, from the holy site of Namo Buddha Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Kyabje Yongzin Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, despite the burden of his advanced 90 years of age, has been consistently bestowing transmissions upon our community of lamas, tulkus, khenpos and sangha members. These transmissions have included profound teachings of both learned and realised Indian and Tibetan masters, such as the Indian Mahamudra texts. And now, exceptionally, Rinpoche is currently transmitting his own collected works.
The eighth cycle of retreat at Thrangu Sekhar Retreat Centre has just concluded, as these transmissions continue. In accord with the request and mandala offering of this group of retreat lamas, Rinpoche has kindly bestowed the transmission of the profound empowerment, mandala ritual and exposition for Sarvavid-Vairochana.
The kindness of your supreme intention to benefit the buddha dharma and sentient beings is beyond all measure. You are the jewel that we carry above our heads and the nectar of immortality that resides within our hearts. How wondrous it would be if there were a few holy beings like yourself in the world today.
Supreme protector, I supplicate and pray from the depths of my heart that the life of your lotus-feet remains long and steadfast within the indestructible vajra realm.
