The Liberation Stories of the Kagyu Masters – Day 4

We are not really interested in putting the dharma into practice. For example, a number of people from the West have approached me with questions, asking me to explain a point in the dharma or a text because they want or need to teach it to others. Not many approach me for an explanation because they want to put it into practise.
People these days are not prepared to give up everything for the dharma, to commit their life to it. They want to be a ‘somebody’, to be well known and esteemed, to build things. People want to receive high practices like Mahamudra and secret mantra, so they can pass it on with a high price tag. They don’t want ‘low value’ instructions and practices like the preliminaries.
