Completion of the 6th cycle retreat in Thrangu Sekhar Retreat Center
On the 11th January 2018, a group of lamas of Thrangu Monastery concluded four years of retreat at Thrangu Sekhar Retreat Center. The Very Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche was present for the opening of the boundary of this, the sixth cycle of retreat at Sekhar.
Over the four years the lamas received empowerments from Thrangu Rinpoche, comprehensive instructions and guidance from Drupon Khen Rinpoche and teachings on ritual from Drupon Lama Dawa Phurba, for all the practices of the Karma Kamtsang Practice Lineage’s retreat programme.
After the opening the retreatants were joined by other lamas and representatives of Thrangu Monastery, and were greeted by their families and friends.
(There is another group of lamas in the retreat centre, the seventh cycle, who are currently halfway through the retreat programme, and the eighth cycle will soon join them.)
