Dubai and UAE

I recently visited the UAE, having been encouraged to do so by a few friends there. In Dubai, on April 30th and May 1st, these friends and I were graciously hosted by the Mittal family of India and Zambia. I gave talks as per the wishes of those in attendance and also spoke a few words at a small school in Dubai to the children and parents.
On May 2nd, I went to Abu Dhabi, where I visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum and was warmly welcomed by its director, Manuel Rabaté and chief curator, Guilhem André. Following this, I visited a friend’s new home to bless it with some prayers for auspiciousness, as she requested. We then went to her current home, where I was honoured to receive a visit from Sheikha Lubna, the first ever female minister of the UAE and Rola Abu Manneh, the chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE, who graciously took us for dinner.
Back in Dubai on May 3rd, I visited the Museum of the Future, where I was greeted by the museum coordinator and shown around.
I found the people of the UAE to be very open, with good and courteous characters, and the country to be prosperous and modern. In other words, they seem to be excelling from whichever angle we look at it.
